DBMQ Partners is a small consulting firm focused on the two hardest problems for companies building technical products: building the right thing and selling it well.
We've been operators. We've built engineering teams, designed revenue orgs, made (and lived with) architecture decisions, and navigated the particular chaos of early-stage companies under real pressure. That background shapes how we work.
We tell you what we actually think.
The most useful thing a consultant can do is give you an honest read — including when the honest read is 'this isn't a consulting problem, you need to make a hard internal decision.' We try not to tell you what you want to hear.
We work on the actual problem.
There's a version of consulting that produces a lot of documents. We're not that. We prefer to be close to the work — sitting with your team, inside your process, where the real friction is.
We're selective about engagements.
We work with a small number of clients at a time. That's by design. It means the people working with you are the people you talked to, not a junior team handed the account after the first meeting.
We care about the handoff.
Every engagement should end with your team more capable than when we started — not more dependent on us. We build things that survive our departure.
